BRIEF
S&R Resources is a search and placement firm specializing
in providing key people to organizations throughout
Indiana. S&R Resources provides key people to client
in managerial and key technical roles on a temporary,
temporary to hire, or direct placement basis. We currently
have a need for a network engineer for one of clients
in the Indianapolis area. The network engineer will
be part of a network support team and be responsible
for recommending, configuring and support a homogenous
network for their employee base and a variety of heterogeneous
networks operated by managers in remote locations and
client installations. The individual should have the
knowledge and discipline to work in an organized manner
and follow accepted IT process and procedure standards
but have the ability to handle interruptions of a reactive
nature and ability to problem solve and think outside
of the box.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelors degree
* Customer Service Focus
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Able to work independently
QUALIFICATIONSmmary
of Position
* MCSE or minimum equivelant experience of 5 years
designing, recommending, and supporting networks
* CCNA or equivalent Cisco design, management and support
experience
* Ability to support Microsoft software network implementations
and network server support applications
* Experience with NT2000, 2003, IIS, SMS, Exchange,
and other network applications
* Experience with Cisco routers and network infrastructures
and devices
* Minimal knowledge of SQL, Linux and willingness to
learn whatever it takes to support client installations.
* Experience with switches, routers, TCP/IP protocol,
Windows Servers/Clients, and Active Directory .
BASIC DESCRIPTION
Position involves supporting both our internal and
our client's network and servers. Your involvement with
clients would include verbal and written communications
as well as some presentations. Some travel maybe required.
Interested candidates must have the ability to effectively
communicate both written and orally with end-users,
as well as clients, be able to take and follow directions
from management but also work independently to quickly
and accurately solve computer related problems, have
corporate experience with switches, routers, TCP/IP
protocol, Windows Servers/Clients, and Active Directory
