BASIC DESCRIPTIONS
Design Engineers
* Responsible for Aftertreatment component, subsystem,
and system level designs for Tier 4 - Aftertreatment
Packaging (VPI).
* Create 3-D models and 2-D prints for components, subsystems,
and systems utilizing ProEngineer.
* Lead brainstorming sessions and D/L/P Phase design
reviews.
* Complete drawing quality reviews, classification of
characteristics, and DVA's for assigned components/subsystems.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL:
* Position requires an associates degree in Mechanical
Design or related field and 3+ years experience in Mechanical
Design.
* Must be proficient in ProEngineer Wildfire v4 (Creating
3-D Models and 2-D Prints, surfacing, model exchange)
? Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,
Powerpoint, Word, Project) ?
* Must have a basic understanding of Fluid and Thermal
Dynamics * Must have a basic understanding of Applied
Mechanics ? Must demonstrate ability to develop creative
production viable design concepts to complex engineering
problems. ? Must demonstrate an ability to anticipate
problems, develop a range of solutions, often using
an interdisciplinary approach, and selects the most
appropriate solution using data-based analysis. ?
* User level understanding of geometric dimensioning
and tolerancing is required (ASME Y14.5M)
* Proficiency in PDM systems is preferred
* User level knowledge of Six Sigma tools is preferred
Mechanical Engineers
* Design and integrate aftertreatment systems for off-hwy
applications to meet Tier 4 emission requirements.
* Initiate and coordinate the technical support work
(including mechanical design, FEA and CFD analyses,
acoustical, flow and vibration testing, drafting, prototypes,
etc.) required to develop system components against
the technical profile deliverables.
* Identify and manage design deliverables to meet customer
requirements.
* Identify and mitigate product and schedule risks.
Execute mitigation plans to reduce and eliminate product
and schedule risks.
* Identify and execute design validation test plan for
aftertreatment components.
* Utilize 7-step process to resolve product related
issues.

Graphic Designers
* Lead design of each platform (complete design ownership)
* Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and supply
chain, support and attend design reviews
* Complete 3D modeling and print detailing in ProEngineer,
work with internal and external design resources to
complete project(s) on time, reviewing models and prints,
completing BOM's, create design guidelines
* Take ownership of product line commodities, and manage
daily work to ensure program deadlines are met with
minimal supervision.
* This position
puts a strong focus on design ownership and working
the project from start to finish.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL:
* Position requires an associates degree in Graphic
Design or related field and 3+ years experience.
* Must be proficient in ProEngineer Wildfire v4
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
* Experience with
any of the following: diesel engines and/or diesel aftertreatment
systems, engineering management systems (such as Engineering
Central), PDMLink, project management.
Six sigma tools such as Dimension Variation Analysis
and Design for Manufacturing.
