BASIC DESCRIPTION

* Project manager over a number of IT infrastructure projects

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Depending on particular opening, manage small to large IT projects ranging from application development to infrastructure projects.

* Holding project review and update sessions. Project Risk and issue management.

* Project Coordination, Communication, and Documentation skills.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proven IT proj Mgmt success (3+ yrs)

* PMP Certifications are a plus but not necessary

* Excellent communications skills

* Excellent team building skills

- Knowledgeable of IT networking, infrastructure, Operating systems, Applications, SDLC.

- Experience with infrastructure vs application development depending on opening.

We are currently looking for two IT Project Managers for a contract opportunity with a client in Columbus, IN. Length of Contract: 6-9 months Education/Experience Requirements: · Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field are preferred. · Minimum 5 years IT experience required · Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills (Required) · Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) · Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods (Preferred) · Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods (Preferred) · Microsoft Project experience (Preferred) Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity · Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements · Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems · Provide users with technical support for computer problems · Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements Managing the project plans for multiple IT projects for the client. Facilitating and coordinating project activity among internal and external service providers. Holding project review and update sessions. Project Risk and issue management.
